Do you or your group feel like you are stuck in a rut? Are you looking for that extra little something that will help you land that Saturday night prime time slot? Are you a new team just starting out? Where ever you are, I can help you get to where you want to go.
Consider me your improv secret weapon. I spend years performing and teaching improv before I came to New York, and I have developed my improv theories independent of the New York scene. The techniques I use and teach can apply to any form, and style, regardless of your background.
I feel that improv, at it's core, is simple. It is about relationships and connections. Being in the moment is the greatest gift you can give yourself and your teammates.
I love improv forms and can teach you any number of them, from simple themes to advance game of the pieces.
I studied at Second City, IO, and The Annoyance in Chicago. I know how these different schools approach improv. I taught in an academic setting at Columbia College in Chicago, where I mentored under Brian Posen. I have also performed with Kevin Mullaney. I was an associate artistic director for One Group Mind Theater in Chicago where I coached several improv teams.
I am available most nights and weekends and will happily work with you to ensure maximum effectiveness. My rate is 25$ an hour.
