Josh Henderson-Cox

I'm a member of Charlie, a musical improv team that has performed across New York City and internationally at the Improfest Sweden in Gothenburg. I can be seen performing musical improv every other Friday at Reckless Theatre, in addition to a variety of other sketch and improv shows.

My background before improv was in theater, as an actor and a director. As much as I like making people laugh, it's important to me to acknowledge that improv is theater, and can be just as emotionally impactful as it is funny. They are at their best when married.

I am all about bringing our bodies into play. Clever wordplay is a valuable skill, but there are a lot of other teachers who are masters at that. I've worked extensively with physical theater and clown, and I make a fool of myself singing and dancing twice a month with Charlie.
