Rayne McGowan

Hey there!

I've been studying at UCB since 2015 with some amazing teachers including Silvija Ozols, Karin Louis Hammerberg, Shaun Diston, James Dwyer, Keisha Zollar, Johna Scrabis, Georgie Adalco, and Ryan Karels. I've also been on Marymount Manhattan College's improv and sketch teams since 2014, where I serve as VP and head writer, respectively. I also have a TON of childcare experience if you're looking for that!!

I'm currently in the Advanced Study program, and just finished up an insanely fun ASP, Ocean's X, where we improvised a heist movie with a focus on character work and group ownership.

My philosophy is that if you're having fun improvising, the audience is having fun, so I aim to create a safe, welcoming environment where people feel free to step outside of their comfort zone, take chances, and be silly! I also hope to encourage players to make strong, bold moves and completely own them. Also, if you're looking for help with sketch edits, the Harold structure, game, or pattern game, I got you, boo.
