About

Brian Heveron-Smith has been writing and performing comedy ever since middle school, when he and his friends wrote and recorded an entire parody album of songs about the Mongols. After graduating from the Eastman School of Music and spending a few years as a freelance musician and substitute teacher, Brian decided to move to Los Angeles to fully pursue his dream of being a comedian. Soon after his move he began collaborating with comedian Chris Fleming, writing soundtrack music and songs for Fleming’s hit web series “Gayle,” which Brian also appears on as various characters. Brian, Fleming, and “Gayle” director Melissa Strype have since collaborated on many other projects, including their live, musical sketch comedy show, “Bud Coplin,” Brian & Fleming’s soft rock band, “Beef Hutchins,” Brian’s own web series’, “Gearheadz With Bryan Heveron” and “Milk Revue,” and other web videos. While in LA, Brian was a member of harold and sketch teams at iO West, he toured extensively with arts-education group Story Pirates, and he taught at Second City Hollywood. In 2015, Brian left Los Angeles to work for Second City on the Norwegian Dawn and Breakaway cruise ships, after which he moved to Chicago to join Second City’s National Touring Company. While touring with Second City, Brian collaborated in writing, sound designing, and music directing two highly praised revues. After leaving Second City, Brian went to Australia for a five-week run of shows at the Adelaide Fringe Festival with musical improv troupe “Baby Wants Candy,” helping to earn the ensemble several five star, rave reviews. Brian recently relocated to Brooklyn
