Marcus Bishop-Wright

About
I am Marcus. I have been active in the New York comedy community since 1998. A graduate of LaGuardia Performing Arts High School, I spent three years directing in Syracuse University, before studying improv and sketch comedy at Chicago City Limits (Paul Scheer), The Upright Citizens Brigade (Matt Walsh, Ian Roberts, Paul Scheer again, Owen Burke, David Wain, Michael Delaney, Kevin Mullaney, Sean Conroy, Billy Merritt, Rebecca Drysdale), Power improv (Joe Bill, Mark Sutton), and the Magnet Theater (Armando Diaz).
I've co-created several improv shows including Film Noir Improv (Eventé), Osama Bin Laughin’ (blind-folded improv) and The Puppet Regime (puppet improv). I started performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in 2002 and I've been teaching and coaching improv, stage puppetry for improv, and stand-up since 2007.
Currently, I am part of the teachig faculty at the Peoples Improv Theater.
