Michael Hochman

About
I would love to share my training and point of view with your team. 20+ years of improv experience with core training from The Magnet (NYC) & The Philly Improv Theater (Philly), and countless workshops through festivals
[Ireland Improv Fest '24, Belfast Improv Fest '24, IO Fest '24, NCCAF '11 / '12 / '15, Gainesville Improv Fest, '09 / '10, Richmond Improv Fest, '08 / '09, and more]
and various Improv camps and intensives too
[Hideout Theater (Austin), Reckless (NYC), Improv Utopia (Ireland, Spain, Poconos PA, and Cambria CA), Camprov (Maine), and more]
I play every week at the Magnet with Megawatt team Behemoth, who recently played in Dublin and Belfast for each of thier international improv festivals. And I had the opportunity to bring my workshop "Lightning Rods" to Belfast for performers from around the US and Europe.
Previously at Magnet, I played with Aura, but also have tons of experience playing and teaching in NJ, with Death By Improv (2005 to 2021) and down in Philadelphia at Philly Improv Theater (2010-2015), where I played with Mayor Karen, Page One, and the Dean's List, plus directed "Millennium Quest: Warp Jawn" an improvised Star Trek parody.
Some of the teachers that have had a great impact on my thinking about improv: Kristen Schier (Portland/Philly), Joe Bill (Chicago), Mark Sutton (Chicago), Jill Bernard (Minneapolis), Louis Kornfeld (NYC), Peter McNerney (NYC), Elana Fishbein (NYC), Nick Armstrong (Denver/LA), Craig Cackowski (LA), Brian James O'Connell (LA), Chris Mead (London), Katy Schutte (London), and so many more.
