Rachel Taenzler

Hello! I'm Rachel, and I've been improvising in NYC for over a decade. I'm also one of the writer/directors of UCB's long-running show Sketch Cram.

I mostly recently was on Harold Night at UCB with The Library (doing thematic Harolds). I’ve previously been on UCB house teams Christopher Basketball, Judy Big Mouth, Statham, and Dog People, and I’ve toured with UCB’s Touring Company. I’m also on the NYC indie team Mercy Santos (God’s Favorite Improv Team).

I am a big believer in aggressive team support and group ownership, as well as using game tools like labeling and framing to make your improv scenes simple and fun. My favorite forms are the Harold and the improvised movie, but all forms are beautiful.
